Our client is a globally recognised FMCG manufacturing company with a significant presence across the region, offering products that are an essential part of daily life.

Due to recent business expansion, they are seeking a skilled Regional Procurement Specialist with expertise in CAPEX and MRO to join their newly established team and support their continued growth.

Job Description

• Support the Head of Procurement in managing category spend by developing strategies, identifying suppliers, and creating engagement plans to negotiate critical capital purchases while controlling portfolio inflation across key services and spare parts programs.
• Lead procurement and buying decisions within assigned categories by executing the Procurement Strategy and ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Drive performance results for assigned categories, ensuring quality, service, risk management, and budget control.
• Mitigate and manage supply risks within the category, ensuring business continuity and supplier reliability.
• Lead procurement efforts for all new product development (NPD) requirements within the categories.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, sharing management responsibilities and ensuring the effective use of allocated resources to achieve desired outcomes.
• Oversee end-to-end procurement activities, including category management, supplier selection, RFI/RFP processes, cost projections, supplier performance management, and SAP/ERP data maintenance.
  
  
  

The Successful Applicant

• 3-4+ years procurement experience with leadership exposure.
• Strong negotiation, category strategy, and project management skills.
• Proficient in financial analysis, Excel, SAP/ERP systems.
• Excellent communication, team leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience driving change, meeting targets, and managing complex situations.
