A Chargeman is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and safety of electrical systems and equipment, requiring specific certifications and experience in the electrical field.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation and Maintenance: Chargemen are tasked with installing and maintaining electrical systems and equipment(Compressor, DTV, Vacuum, Blower, Gas Farm Fire protection, HVAC system, PCWP and Heat exhaust system, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.
• Safety Compliance: They must adhere to safety regulations and procedures, particularly those set by the Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission) in Malaysia, to ensure safe work practices in low voltage zones.
• Troubleshooting: Chargemen are responsible for diagnosing and resolving electrical issues, including attending to machine breakdowns and conducting preventive maintenance checks on electrical installations.
• Data Collection and Reporting: They assist in data collection related to electrical systems and report on the condition and performance of electrical equipment to their supervisors.
• Project Assistance: Chargemen may also assist engineers and supervisors in projects, commissioning, and troubleshooting tasks as required.
  
  
  

Qualifications And Skills

• Certification: A valid Electrical Chargeman Certificate (BO 11KV, A1 or A4) issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga is mandatory.
• Experience: Typically, a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an electrical role is required, with a focus on preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Teamwork and Responsibility: Chargemen should be team players with a strong sense of responsibility to meet organizational objectives.
