Job Responsibility
- Manage and oversee a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring smooth and efficient operations during service.
- Prepare and cook high-quality Western cuisine dishes according to established recipes and standards, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to strict hygiene and food safety regulations.
- Monitor food quality and ensure all dishes meet the restaurant's standards before serving to customers.
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their development and performance.
- Assist in menu development and recipe creation, contributing innovative ideas and techniques to enhance the dining experience.
- Manage inventory and order supplies for the assigned section, minimizing waste and ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Diploma in Culinary Arts or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional kitchen environment, with a focus on Western cuisine.
- Proven expertise in kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking techniques, and plating.
- In-depth knowledge of Western culinary techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles.
- Strong understanding of quality control principles and food safety standards.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate with kitchen staff and management.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to hygiene and sanitation guidelines.
- Capable of working efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Must be willing to work on-site in Johor Bahru and be flexible with scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
