Job Description Summary

We are looking for a Chemical Warehouse Analyst who would be responsible for analyzing and managing the procurement, storage, and distribution of chemical materials to support production schedules while maintaining lean inventory levels. Key responsibilities include evaluating vendor performance, monitoring chemical inventory data, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, creating and maintaining inventory schedules, coordinating with internal departments, and managing relationships with external stakeholders. The role emphasizes data-driven decision-making, cost efficiency, quality assurance, and adherence to safety protocols.

A successful Chemical Warehouse Analyst should possess strong analytical skills, knowledge of chemical handling and storage regulations, and the ability to optimize inventory and supply chain processes to meet production needs effectively.

GE Aerospace Engine Services Malaysia (GEESM) in Subang plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and performance of aviation fleets every day. Role Overview

  • Register items and suppliers in SAP systems and maintain accurate master data records.
  • Monitor and update expired item lists to ensure inventory readiness and compliance.
  • Understand and manage risks to minimize impact on production schedule. Take follow up actions in relation to material shortages that affect production.
  • Create RFQs (Request for Quotations) and PRs (Purchase Requests), ensuring timely approvals.
  • Oversee the effective delivery of end-to-end service globally ensuring the proper execution of the P2P process: from requisition handling to PO placement and tracking, to PO changes, to PO close.
  • Oversee receiving, inspection, and documentation of physical parts in SAP systems.
  • Optimize warehouse layout, arrangement, and put-away processes for efficient operations.
  • Ensure proper issuance of physical parts and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Plan and monitor calibration schedules for data loggers and download records. Track storage requirements, shelf-life items, and stock levels for critical supplies.
  • Maintain 5S standards and ensure SDS (Safety Data Sheets) and TDS (Technical Data Sheets) records are up-to-date and valid for 5 years.
  • Preparing and generating weekly report of inventory status, stock requisition analysis, and forecasting.

Ideal Candidate

Has at least 3 years of experience in similar roles and familiar with excel functions.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or closely related field required. Equivalent work experience may also be considered.
  • Knowledge of chemical handling, storage regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SAP.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills to manage inventory and optimize warehouse operations.
