In KONE to support business performance excellence, KONE Shared Services has joined forces with finance operations to form the new KONE Business Services (KBS), a one-stop shop for all business services. KBS will help drive better efficiency, improve data quality, and provide seamless end-to-end process expertise. KBS will actively partner with the business lines and functions to provide end-to-end process governance and work toward joint targets with the business. We execute transactions that are part of KONE Operations or Financial processes. Ensuring process compliance and controls are applied to each transaction.

Why this role?

The Collection Specialist role coexisted to support credit controllers in a joint effort to mitigate the risk of bad debt/doubtful debt. The Collection Specialist is responsible for executing KONE’s customer credit management, collection, and dispute management activities.

The Collection Specialist is responsible for deploying credit policies so that an acceptable level of risk is maintained, collections are made on time, losses are kept to a minimum and arrears are economically collected. He/she executes the collection strategy and ensures the dispute management routing is fit for purpose for the local conditions in alignment with global guidelines and ensures that bad debt provisions and write-offs are processed according to the defined rules. The Collection Specialist works closely with FL Customer Service & Admin (CS&A) and upstream organizations.

What will you be doing?

  • Resolving and supporting FL in solving complicated collection cases.
  • Performing dispute root cause analysis and corrective actions from an end-to-end perspective.
  • Depending on the local requirements the first collection contact may be carried out physically.
  • Transactional tasks for accounts retained in FL responsibility.
  • Dispute management routing for agreed retained accounts.
  • Recording invoice disputes into collection and dispute management solutions as they arise.
  • Initiating and following the dispute management workflow by dispatching the recorded disputes to the relevant business responsible people in the organization for resolution.
  • Applying Collection strategy for agreed retained accounts.
  • Conducting the collection calls to customers in a structured way.
  • Requesting promises to pay from customers as part of collection contacts and recording the given promises.
  • Coordinates with CS&A and inbound teams for his/her portfolio of customers to ensure that all queries and disputes are appropriately handled and resolved to facilitate collections activities.

Are you the one?

  • Minimum Degree in Finance/Accounting or relevant field.
  • Experience in SAP and familiarity working in a Shared Service Environment is an added advantage.
  • Possesses a service mindset to collaborate and partner with our stakeholders.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, including active listening.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service is essential – a positive experience for the customer results in a positive experience for all.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, also be able to work in a team.
