We are seeking a dynamic Consumer Marketing Manager to drive the development of a profitable and sustainable product portfolio. This role requires leveraging compelling consumer insights to build strong brands and achieve brand objectives. The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing and leading a high-performing brand team.

A day in the life of a Consumer Marketing Manager

  • Responsible for developing category and brand MBS vision and strategy.
  • Accountable for setting long term strategic direction for category and brands through clear inspiring visions & brand essence aligned with the market and SBU.
  • Accountable for generating compelling consumer insight to develop winning brand portfolio / category strategies versus competition.
  • Accountable for the development of marketing plans in the ICP process by identifying the key opportunities (incorporating understanding on consumers, competition and external environment) and developing action plans for the category & brands in line with business objectives.
  • Accountable for managing innovation & renovation based on consumer insights which includes identifying opportunities, product conceptualizing, prepare and implement launch and post evaluation.
  • Accountable for creating engaging brand experience through strong Big Ideas at relevant consumer touch points including consumer promotions.
  • Accountable for delighting consumers with products experience on taste and packaging (benchmarked against competition).
  • Responsible for collaborating with CDT in developing an optimum pricing strategy that fulfills shopper expectations.
  • Accountable for monitoring & analyzing category/brand performance including competitive benchmarking.
  • Accountable for proposing optimal PFME budgets for category / brands based on ICP. Ensure all PFME investment is properly reviewed and evaluated.
  • Responsible for participating in the MBP/ Commercial review meeting to review the uplift numbers (based on ICP) versus sales forecast and recommend action plans to close gaps.
  • Responsible for developing and coaching direct reports, ensuring people development and performance discussions and plans are conducted timely.

What Will Make You Successful

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Consumer Marketing with experience gained within Sales / CDT function as added advantage.
  • Strong functional skill and leadership capabilities through successful leading of a team of direct reports.
  • Demonstrable record of success in building portfolio of brands based on consumer insights with strong analytical, strategic thinking skills, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in new product development, consumer trends and preferences preferably in Food industry will be a great advantage.
