As a Corporate Actions Analyst you will be a detail-oriented and proactive individual who will play an important part in this crucial team. Part and parcel of this role will be to manage and process all corporate events that occur ensuring that the underlying beneficial owners receive the level of service in both accuracy and timeliness that owners would get if assets were held in their own name. The product range of assets we administer includes Managed funds, Equities and Fixed Interest
The responsibilities will include:
Together with our clients, we empower nearly 30 million people across all wealth segments to invest in their future.
- Contribute to the development of standards and processing to ensure timely product delivery, and customer experience.
- Assist in the formulation of procedures, work flow channels and service manuals.
- Processing mandatory and voluntary corporate actions on Managed Funds, Equities and Fixed Interest products within Key Performance Indicator targets. The role will include the allocation of coupon and dividend income,
- Maturities, fund closures, non-income corporate action events such as rights issues, takeovers, stock splits, conversions, share purchase plans, and Rebates.
- Sourcing of all relevant information, either from fund managers, data feeds, Bloomberg, custodian agents or relevant websites i.e. NZX, ASX, company websites; to ensure corporate actions are processed correctly.
- Liaison with the Client Relationship and Support team to ensure all relevant information is communicated effectively to and from underlying clients.
- Maintaining internal stock and cash ledger control accounts and clearing them on a daily basis.
- Reconciling client holdings versus agent holding to ensure that they match during a corporate action.
- Proven Time Management and Planning skills.
- Complete tasks accurately, completely and to agreed deadlines/ targets (KPI’s) according to the standards and procedures outlined.
- Ensures that outputs meet required standards and the needs of internal and external clients.
- Information Sharing/ Teamwork.
- Excellent team player assisting colleagues when necessary.
- Demonstrate a willingness to take on team tasks and responsibilities.
- Approach all tasks with drive and enthusiasm.
- High standard of record keeping.
- Ensure increased efficiencies with the team operating off the same, up to date, information
- Ownership and Responsibility.
- Demonstrates personal accountability by flagging errors to the Team Manager and taking corrective action promptly.
- Escalates issues promptly and responds positively to feedback.
- At least 2 years’ experience in an Investment Operations role.
- Familiarity with financial markets and wealth management products is preferable.
- Confident and able to take initiative given client and delivery focused environment.
- Independent, self-directing and delivery focused working style.
- Ability to work under pressure to multiple firm deadlines.
- Excellent organisational, administration and time management skills.
- A passion to be part of a high performing team.
- Ability to take ownership and responsibility.
