Costing Engineer

Job Description

This is currently an onsite opportunity at our Ichor Malaysia location. Cost Estimator for Semi-conductor equipment manufacturing relating specifically to Ichor Weldment Component Manufacturing.

Job Responsibilities - Other Duties May Be Assigned

Prepare competitive bids for Ichor Weldment components using Oracle/Agile/Excel as well as welding/fabrication knowledge to quote for Internal and External Customers. A good candidate for this position would have a good knowledge of Stainless Steel Welding and Fabrication, bills of material, experience in a manufacturing environment, good analytical/mathematics skills, the ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative, good MS Office/Outlook/Word/Excel skills, familiarity with Oracle and Agile, and the ability to read/understand Engineering prints/drawings/documents.

• Estimate and prepare competitive bids for new projects
• Determines labor based on component needs including any special processes, testing, or outside processing
• Prepares Quotes and Cost Estimates
• Apply pricing standards to estimate costs
• Determine material requirements and manufacturing processes needed to complete quotes/orders
• Work with Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, and/or other departments to determine methods and pricing for unusual or new orders
• Maintain effective contact with customers
• Provide input and feedback on issues relevant to customer programs and marketing initiatives
• Work independently with moderate supervision
  
  
  

Qualifications

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Welding and Fabrication knowledge for Stainless Steel and other Semi-Conductor industry-related process materials
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills including but not limited to Vlookups, Pivot Tables, VBA
• Excellent analytical and mathematics skills
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Solid Knowledge of MRP, Oracle and Agile systems
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs
  
  
  

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of Costing Engineer or equivalent work experience
• Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience, or any combination of education and experience
• Experience with multi-level bills of material
• Experience in the Semi-conductor industry, preferably Gas Delivery Systems/Welding/Fabrication
• Experience reading/using/understanding Engineering prints/drawings/documents, especially as it relates to welding and fabrication
