Job requirements

① Have a certain theoretical basis, familiar with the foreign trade process and the entire customs/shipping workflow;
② Good communication and coordination ability, strain ability, timely feedback and deal with problems in the work;
③ Have a certain computer and English foundation, skilled use of office software, such as WORD, EXCEL, etc.;
④ work carefully, serious, active, positive, responsible, able to withstand greater work pressure, like their work;
⑤ More than 3 years of experience in international freight forwarding, customs declaration, warehousing and logistics is preferred;
⑥Proficient in Malay and English; proficiency in Chinese is a plus.

Job content

Overseas & Domestic Import & Export Documentation: Responsible for managing all documentation related to both overseas and domestic import and export processes at relevant ports and airports. Ensure timely processing and compliance with customs regulations.

Verification of Import & Export Data: Review and verify all received import and export documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with Malaysian customs regulations. Ensure all documentation is complete and follows the required customs procedures.

Data Entry into Customs System: After verification, input import/export data into the customs system (uCustoms) to obtain approval for customs declarations.

Customs Certificates Management: Receive, log, and centrally manage certificates and legal documents issued by Malaysian customs. Ensure proper registration and handover records when passing documents to clients.

Document Review and Filing: Review and regularly organize customs clearance documents. Ensure timely, accurate, and complete filing, and maintain proper logs for documents requested for return or transfer to clients.

Customs Formalities & Tariff Classification: Classify goods based on customs formalities and the correct Customs Tariff Number. Draft customs declaration forms and submit them for verification to ensure the accuracy of both the customs tariff number and applicable duty rates.

Training and Development: Collect and organize professional training information, create departmental training plans, and coordinate with the HR department for execution. Maintain training records and evaluate the effectiveness of each session.

Internal Audit Support: Provide relevant documentation for internal audits and address any inquiries raised by the audit team.

Safety and Crisis Management: Participate in company safety initiatives, including safety training and emergency drills, to improve crisis management skills.

Other Support: Assist other departments and complete tasks assigned by management.
