Job Responsibility

  • Lead the transfer of statutory accounting activities and local reporting from each operating entity to the Finance Center of Excellence (FCOE).
  • Own statutory Accounting for NXP & collaborate with service providers for each operating entity to ensure the accurate compilation of statutory financials, in coordination with the Regional Accounting Controllers.
  • Review and ensure the team identifies and calculates adjustments from US GAAP to Local GAAP.
  • Work closely with the US GAAP team to review GL balances to represent correctly the management notes in the non-US GAAP statutory reporting.
  • Partner with global functional team to support required accounting activities including Tax Accounting (Tax Analysis, Intercompany, Transfer Pricing, Treasury etc)
  • Analyse the impact of new accounting standards, changes in accounting policies, and non-GAAP policies on statutory reporting requirements.
  • Ensure all disclosures are properly included in the financial statements.
  • Identify resource needs, hire, and train new staff.
  • Manage personnel in FCOE KL, identifying training for new team members as required.
  • Implement internal controls and maintain SOX compliance as well as ensuring all processes and procedures are fully documented.
  • Ensure adherence to intercompany pricing agreements and other intercompany accounts.
  • Streamline and implement accounting policies and procedures, as well as reporting functions and KPIs.
  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including internal and external customers, IT, and Operations on a daily basis.
  • Lead/support NXP Finance transformation activities – driving implementation of tools to enhance financial reporting.

Job Qualifications

  • 15 years working experience working in a Statutory Accounting/ International Accounting role across different finance management roles.
  • Qualified accountant (e.g. CA, CPA, ACCA)
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS & local GAAP; Audit background would be helpful.
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Able to work hands on to support team and collaborate across global workforce.
  • SAP ERP knowledge, transformation.
