Director, Retail - SEA/ANZ

Responsibilities

• Responsible to develop a 1 – 3 year strategy plan for retail channel per market
• Deliver strong and consistent brand and consumer experience across all stores and channels in-line with brand and format strategy
• Achieve owned retail and outlet financial targets by managing the sell-out and costs for these channels
• Ensure retail performance and productivity for all owned retail and outlet stores in Singapore and Malaysia
• Ensure relevancy of store operating procedures and align to Clarks or industry standard
• Implement Clarks standard of retail operation and presentation, develop and deliver retail training and brand support strategies to owned retail, and outlets
• Lead a high-performance retail team to deliver commercial and service objectives
• Ensure good and effective stock management for owned channel
• Bear frontline responsibility in the management and relationship with landlords and retailers
• Pipeline management and locations planning of new stores (if any)
• Maintain good relationships and communication with other members of functional departments
• Responsible for the annual financial budget process
• Coach and mentor junior and new team members
• Manage team’s performance and set up necessary dialogues with team members frequently
• Ensure the engagement, morale and well-being of frontline employees
• Accountable for all matters happening in owned retail and outlet stores
• Business travel of up to 50% across both Singapore and Malaysia

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Business Admin or related field with minimum 8 years of relevant working experience
• Min. 5 years of relevant experience in leading large-scale retail operations for a renowned international brand
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good knowledge in retail development, commercial negotiation, trading periods, visual merchandising and marketing
• Strong in numbers for data analysis
• Ability to process/manage large amount of data quickly and efficiently
• Good track record in managing professional relationships
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Advanced level in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in leading and managing a team
• Experience in developing and improving operations process
• Experience in change management
