The role
As an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and troubleshooting the electrical and instrumentation systems at our Nestlé manufacturing facility in Shah Alam, Selangor. This full-time position is an excellent opportunity to apply your technical expertise and contribute to the smooth and efficient operations of our state-of-the-art production plant.Key responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and instrumentation equipment, including motors, control panels, automated systems, and sensors
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and instrumentation faults, and implement effective solutions to restore normal operation
- Carry out routine inspections and testing of electrical and instrumentation systems to identify and address potential issues
- Liaise with the engineering team to implement upgrades and modifications to the electrical and instrumentation infrastructure
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with relevant safety standards and guidelines
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment performance
- Provide training and guidance to junior technicians to develop their skills and knowledge
- Diploma or degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Electrical or Instrumentation Technician, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation systems, including their design, installation, and troubleshooting
- Proficient in the use of diagnostic equipment and tools, and the ability to interpret technical schematics and manuals
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to quickly identify and resolve issues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the continuity of production
- Strong communication skills to liaise with engineers, operators, and other stakeholders
- Commitment to workplace safety and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks
