Electrical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop electrical design solutions for Vertiv pre-fabricated data centre projects
• Provide technical support during preparation of bidding documents.
• Preparation of electrical specifications and project planning/ implementation documents.
• Preparation of electrical scope of work documents.
• Preparation of electrical system specifications.
• Carrying out Electrical design verifications, compliance checks and modifications and development of detail design electrical drawings according to relevant standards including but not limited to maximum demand, cable selection, circuit breaker discrimination, fault level, arch flash, earthing, Lightning protection, lighting calculations and reports
• Ability to do full electrical design calculations as per relevant standards and ideally model total power distribution using ETAP or similar software.

Requirements:

• Electrical Engineering Degree
• Ability to work with new products, processes, tools and technologies
• Minimum 5-7 years experience in similar projects/industry
• AutoCAD Lite minimum
• Data centre Electrical systems design
