Engineer- Equipment Service/ Sr. Engineer- Equipment Service (Based in Kulim)

About the role

We are seeking a talented Engineer or Senior Engineer to join our dedicated Equipment Service team at QES (Intra-Pacific) Sdn Bhd in Kulim, Kedah. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing our state-of-the-art electrical and electronic equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

What you'll be doing

1. Work with Process and Equipment Engineers to support clients by troubleshooting issues and recommending corrective action.
2. Monitor performance, quality, and reliability of assembly processes.
3. Performs wafer fabrication functions in the production and testing of semiconductor devices.
4. Operates equipment in performing photolithography, wet/dry etch processing, thin films (metals) deposition, on-wafer testing, and grind and scribe processing.
5. Work with semi-automatic equipment and manual wet benches and follow processing specifications.
6. Design maintenance programs that will be used to improve tool availability and reduce the cost of ownership
7. Define and write equipment specifications and work instructions for the assigned equipment set.
8. Evaluate and recommend the selection of new process equipment.
9. Manage new tool installations, modifications, and upgrades to existing tools.
10. Comprehensive readiness reviews with FMEA and tolerance studies.
11. Analysis of process trends and process improvements for yield optimization.
12. Coordinate training to develop shift employees to safely perform their respective job assignments.
13. Develop and enforce effective preventive maintenance and safety procedures.

What we're looking for

• Diploma / Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in equipment service and maintenance.
• Strong technical expertise in the diagnosis and repair of electrical and electronic equipment
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills and Mandarin speaking and reading.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations
