Engineer - Mechanical Design

Job Overview:

Responsible for designing and developing product by considering customer requirement, product functionality, cost and machinability.

Job Description:

• Apply engineering principles to draft, design, modify and develop new products.
• Create and design product specification based on customer requirements.
• Evaluate product functionality, cost and machinability.
• Project coordination to meet customer expectations and product specifications.
• Manage design activities from planning phase to final acceptance.
• Prepare design documentation and attend design review with production side and top management.
• Prepare fabrication drawing for the fabrication process.
• Evaluate feedback from manufacturing site to improve machinability and cost.
• Verify the product is assemble and functioning according to specification.
• Find root cause and countermeasure for design failure/error to improve design quality.
• Generate continues improvement (Kaizen for the design process.
• Provide continues support/responsibility to the product it is ready ship to the customer.

Competencies:

• Strong knowledge in engineering design.
• Able to work independently and part of a team.
• Strong in problem solving and interdependent skills.
• Experience to use CAD software (CREO & SolidWorks preferred) is an added advantage.
• Posses at least Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
