Engineer, Sustainability Business Development

As a Sustainability business development Engineer, you will help work with the sales team on product sustainability target by applying your expertise in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) analysis, et al. You will play a key role in supporting TÜV SÜD’s global sustainability initiatives — driving circular economy practices, advancing product sustainability programs, and empowering industries to transition toward more sustainable operations. This position offers the opportunity to learn fast, grow your expertise, and make a tangible impact in a collaborative, technology-driven environment.

• Focus on driving business development initiatives for the product sustainability market in Malaysia, collaborating closely with the sales team to achieve targeted revenue goals.
• Collaborate with the Sales team to address client requests, from pre-engagement to project execution, contributing to the growth of sustainability services in ASEAN and beyond
• Conduct and support sustainability projects focused on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) analyses across diverse industries and clients
• Build and maintain strong connections with regulatory agencies, internal and external experts, research bodies, industry associations, and to strengthen technical know-how and innovation
• Analyze datasets, interpret findings, and translate complex environmental data into meaningful conclusions and actionable insights
  
  

Job Requirements:-

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other relevant degree, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience in sustainability development, market strategy and development is a plus.
• Understanding of LCA and GHG standards such as ISO 14040/14044, ISO 14067, ISO 14064, UNI EN 15804, GHG Protocol, and ISO 14025 is a plus.
• Experience working with sustainability certification bodies or ESG reporting is a plus.
• Knowledge of Malaysia’s sustainability landscape and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of environmental impact categories (carbon, energy, resource efficiency, sustainable materials, supply chains).
• Proficient in preparing technical reports, sustainability statements, and client deliveries.
• Self-organized and capable of managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• Strong communicator with the ability to explain complex sustainability concepts clearly.
• Curious, creative, and eager to explore emerging sustainability technologies.
• Collaborative mindset — thrives in multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal).
