Engineering - Intern

About the role

We are seeking engineering intern to join our team at Hoya Electronics Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated engineering student to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment. As an intern, you will actively contribute to the development and enhancement of cutting-edge systems and products, working alongside a talented and dynamic team. You will have the chance to apply your academic knowledge to real-world projects, participating in everything from design and testing to problem-solving and innovation.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing engineering projects and initiatives
• Conduct research, data analysis, and simulations to support engineering solutions
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation
• Assist in the creation and modification of SCADA system, drawings, and machine PPH checking
• Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to contribute innovative ideas and solutions
• Assist with project management tasks, including tracking timelines, deliverables, and resources
• Provide general engineering support, including administrative tasks, as needed to ensure smooth project execution
• Continuously learn and apply new skills and technologies relevant to the engineering field

Job Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical, or a related field
• Available for a minimum 6-month internship period
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
• A proactive and eager-to-learn attitude, with a passion for problem-solving and innovation
• Solid understanding of engineering principles and technical concepts
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
