Role Overview: As the Executive - Product and Sourcing, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our portfolio of hotels and tour activities. You will be responsible for sourcing new suppliers, optimizing the product mix, ensuring that our offerings meet customer needs, and maximizing profitability. This role involves hands-on work in addition to supporting broader strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing and Supplier Management:
- Identify and onboard new suppliers for hotels and tour activities to expand our product offerings.
- Negotiate contracts and terms to secure favorable rates and conditions.
- Maintain and manage relationships with existing suppliers, ensuring consistent quality and performance.
- Portfolio Optimization:
- Analyze product performance, focusing on the hotels and tour activities portfolio.
- Implement strategies to optimize the product mix, improving both customer satisfaction and profitability.
- Monitor market trends and competitor offerings to keep our portfolio competitive and aligned with customer preferences.
- Product Offering Alignment:
- Ensure that our hotel and tour activity offerings meet the needs and expectations of our customers.
- Conduct market research and gather customer feedback to inform product decisions.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure our products are effectively positioned in the market.
- Margin Optimization:
- Work on initiatives to enhance gross margins, particularly within the hotels and tour activities segments.
- Analyze and track margin performance, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Engage in cost-control measures without compromising the quality of our offerings.
- Market Analysis and Reporting:
- Conduct thorough market analysis to identify opportunities for new product offerings or improvements to existing ones.
- Prepare and present reports on product performance, sourcing efficiency, and margin optimization.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on data analysis.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Ensure efficient processes for sourcing, onboarding, and managing product listings for hotels and tour activities.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and timeliness in updating product information and content.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance overall operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Tourism, or a related field.
- Proven experience in supplier management, sourcing, or procurement, preferably within the travel or tourism industry.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills, with a focus on hotels and tour activities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
