RESPONSIBILITIES (SUMMARY)

Provide overall support for legal and secretarial department in providing advice, services and solutions to the Company and support functions in a proactive and timely manner.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  1. Assist to ensure the Company's total compliance with the law, internal policies and standing instructions.
  2. Assisting in ensuring company’s adherence to good corporate governance and other regulatory requirements.
  3. Prepare documents such as correspondence, reports, resolutions and minutes of meeting; make arrangements for internal and external meetings of which to include but not limited to Board of Trustees Meeting, all Committee meetings established thereon and all related meeting (as the case may be) (“Meeting”), ensuring that meeting papers are in acceptable form before they are circulated to the Meeting members.
  4. Proofreads and corrects prepared materials for correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, format, syntax and content.
  5. Update the Associate Director/Manager on verbal queries, meetings and discussion as well as proposing solutions for the next course of action.
  6. Makes recommendations for improving efficiency of existing operations.
  7. Liaising with other staff, transmits directives, instructions, and assignments, and follows up on the status of assignments.
  8. Assist in providing company secretarial advice and support as and when required.
  9. Execute cross-function and ad-hoc tasks as and when required to ensure achievement of overall target and objectives.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Law, Secretarial or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Possess knowledge of Companies Act and Regulations.
  • Ability to grasp complex areas of law rapidly and accurately.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English. A clear understanding of legal & secretarial duties and related office management.
  • Professional approach to the role and to be able to handle confidential information.
  • Proactive, action-oriented, independent, self-motivated and highly driven.
  • Creative thinker and able to work as a member of multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively to meet deadlines.
