Job Description
- Develop and manage fabrication plans and schedules to meet production targets while maintaining quality standards.
- Oversee the fabrication and welding processes, ensuring all tasks align with engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to fabrication teams to optimize processes, resolve technical issues, and improve production efficiency.
- Conduct regular quality checks and inspections on fabricated components, ensuring compliance with project requirements and safety regulations.
- Liaise with design, engineering, and production teams to align fabrication activities with overall project objectives, schedules, and budgets.
- Ensure all fabrication processes adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
- Identify and implement improvements to fabrication practices, enhancing productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of fabrication activities, materials, and performance for quality audits and project tracking.
- Good work ethics and able to work beyond standard official working hours as and when required by the superior.
- Able to travel outstation as and when required by the superior.
- Perform any other ad-hoc assignments as assigned by the superior.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline. Certifications in fabrication or welding will be considered an advantage.
- Mandarin proficiency is preferred to support effective communication with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
- Ideally possesses 2 to 3 years of experience in machinery fabrication or working with heavy machinery.
- Strong analytical thinking with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Practical, hands-on approach with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
