Primary Responsibilities
- You will maintain financial reporting system in line with Goodyear accounting policies, US GAAP, and local requirements.
- You will ensure compliance with tax rules by being updated with revisions and changes to the regulations.
- You will handle tax audit, objection, and appeal if any dispute from tax and custom audit findings. Maintain a professional relationship with Tax Consultant & Government Tax Officer.
- You will review and analysis of monthly management accounts of the local business.
- You will prepare and review of various month-end, quarter-end, annual, and ad hoc reports such as balance sheet analysis, working capital analysis, unusual items, significant contract, SLAN, regional tax reports (ETR), accounts reconciliation, general ledger reconciliation, etc.
- You will monitor reconciliation of IBS statement to local accounts, including journal entries to Goodyear Intercompany account by GBS Corporate Accountant.
- You will review and complete various US GAAP schedules and review month-end US GAAP adjustment journals.
- You will review Central General Ledger journals and reporting of Central results.
- You will participate in the annual external audit with PWC including clarification of any audit and tax queries.
- You will prepare and communicate month-end management account results to management within the agreed timeframe and in the required format. Coordinate the Balance Sheet forecast template used for discussion with FP&A.
- You will assist Financial Controller in ensuring the internal control of GMB is tact, improve and strengthen the control which complies with SOX and GY policy and procedures
- You will ensure timely and accurate processing of rebate programs in Vistex, including accruals at month-end and pay-out of rebates to customers.
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, most preferred with Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/MIA/ICAEW or equivalent)
- You have minimum five (5) years of working experience in general accounting, financial reporting, and consolidation
- You have minimum three (3) years in a managerial position (in addition to the above 5 years of experience)
- Your experience in working with large/MNC organizations will be a bonus
- You have an understanding of local and US GAAP accounting standards
- You have knowledge of accounting, taxation, internal audit, information technology, and, information systems concepts
- You are computer literate: MS Office, Access Database & SAP
- You have strong English communication skills (written and verbal) to provide solid advice and accounting support to key stakeholders within the business
- You are open-minded to a fast-paced and changing environment
- You have capability to work with offshore team members
