Global Business Finance Services CoE Manager

You will manage the financial operations and services of PPG GBFS team based at Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. You will provide strategic financial guidance, ensuring compliance with statutory accounting principles, budgeting, financial reporting, and audit compliance. You will collaborate with teams, including Finance, HR, Controllership, Audit and operations, to lead financial efficiency across the organization. You will be reporting directly to Finance Director, ANZ.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Strategy and Planning:
• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the organization's global business goals.
• Collaborate with senior management to establish financial goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
• Statutory Accounting Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with statutory accounting principles specific to each jurisdiction we operate in.
• Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and ensure the organization's financial practices align with the latest requirements.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to statutory accounting principles.
• Budgeting and Financial Planning:
• Lead the budgeting process, working with department heads to develop accurate and realistic budgets.
• Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide insights to support cost control and resource allocation decisions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop long-term financial plans and forecasts.
• Financial Reporting:
• Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements and disclosure regulations.
• Consolidate financial data from different regions and departments to provide a comprehensive global view.
• Analyze financial results, identify trends, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Audit Compliance:
• Coordinate the external audit process and collaborate with auditors, ensuring compliance with audit requirements and timelines.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure audit compliance and accurate financial reporting.
• Risk Management:
• Identify and assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Implement and maintain internal controls and procedures to safeguard financial assets and prevent fraud.
• Ensure compliance with international financial regulations and reporting standards.
• Team Leadership and Development:
• Manage a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, and performance feedback.
• Develop and implement training programs to enhance the financial acumen of the team.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is an added advantage.
• Experience global finance management in a multinational organization.
• 5+ years of experience with statutory accounting principles specific to multiple jurisdictions.
• 5+ years of experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and audit compliance.
• Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Multiple language skills English / Mandarin as a minimum
