Guest Services Officer

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Be familiar with the room status for the day and future days.
2. To greet and welcome all VIPs, and important groups on arrival, ensuring all arrangements are followed through efficiently.
3. Handle complaints, incidents, and accidents in the hotel as and when necessary.
4. To establish reports relating to complaints, incidents accidents, and emergency calls and forward copies to various executives and department heads concerned.
5. To assist in the training of the employees ensuring that they have the necessary skills to perform their duties with maximum efficiency.
6. Assist and supervise the employees within the department, ensuring that the correct standard and method of service are maintained as stated in the Department’s operations manual.
7. To check on all arriving VIP guest rooms before the arrival of guests, ensure that all the necessary set-up and amenities are in place and follow up.
8. Liaise and inform other operating departments, notable Housekeeping, and Engineering on programs for rectification, preventative maintenance, and general cleaning or any matters that concern them.
