Head of Decisioning Analytics

Job Description

This is a senior leadership role with a mandate to shape the data science and AI agenda of a leading telecom operator. You will build and scale a high-impact in-house data science capability, influence executive decision-making, and turn rich data assets into measurable business outcomes across growth, customer experience, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the enterprise data science and AI strategy, aligned to business priorities.
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing data science team and establish best-in-class ways of working.
• Deliver advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI use cases that drive revenue, retention, and efficiency.
• Assess the organisation’s data science & AI maturity and execute a roadmap to scale capabilities and adoption.
• Partner closely with senior stakeholders to translate business problems into impactful analytics solutions.
• Oversee analytics delivery (internal and external), ensuring quality, governance, data privacy, and security.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields.
• 15+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in a senior data science / analytics leadership role.
• Strong foundation in statistics, machine learning, and advanced analytics.
• Hands-on understanding of Python, SQL, big data platforms (e.g. Hadoop), and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik).
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex topics clearly.
• A strategic, outcome-driven leader with a passion for building teams and scaling impact.
