Head of Marketing (Selangor Cluster)

JOB SUMMARY :
1. Responsible for the overall operations of Marketing at Selangor Cluster (Sunway Pyramid, Sunway Giza Mall, Sunway Square Mall), ensuring all practices align with the company and department’s policies.
2. Supports Centre of Excellence (COE) marketing initiatives.
3. Develops and implements marketing strategies, communications, strategic alliances, customer experience, creative design, SDG efforts, innovation, and brand equity for Selangor Cluster (Sunway Pyramid, Sunway Giza Mall, Sunway Square Mall).
4. Establishes best practices for marketing to drive effectiveness and operational excellence.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES :
1. Develop and implement strategic marketing plans to drive footfall, enhance brand visibility, and support business objectives across the Selangor Cluster (Sunway Pyramid, Sunway Giza Mall, Sunway Square Mall)
2. Lead and manage the marketing team, ensuring staff are trained, engaged, and developed for performance and succession readiness
3. Monitor market trends and customer insights to drive innovation, responsiveness, and continuous improvement in marketing initiatives
4. Strengthen stakeholder engagement through strategic partnerships with NGOs, industry players, communities, clients, and event organizers
5. Drive digital and on-ground marketing initiatives, including customer experience, branding, and creative content development
6. Champion SDG, CSR, and sustainability programs that align with Sunway's values and enhance community impact
7. Plan and manage marketing budgets and forecasts, balancing brand development and revenue-generating initiatives
8. Collaborate with COE and other business units on group-wide campaigns, branding, and cross-mall marketing alignment
JOB REQUIREMENT
1.Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications are an added advantage
2. Minimum 10 years of marketing experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial/leadership role—preferably in retail, shopping malls, or commercial property
3. Proven success in developing and executing comprehensive marketing plans (including digital, brand, and partnership strategies
4. Strong leadership skills with experience in managing, developing, and mentoring a marketing team
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to build strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, and the community
6. Strategic thinker with creative and analytical capabilities to drive innovation and balance brand-building with revenue outcome
