Job Purpose
Primary objective is to establish, maintain, and continuously improve the organization’s Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (QHSSE) standards and practices. This role is pivotal in upholding the company’s commitment to operational excellence, employee well-being, environmental sustainability, and legal compliance.

Job Purpose
Primary objective is to establish, maintain, and continuously improve the organization’s Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (QHSSE) standards and practices. This role is pivotal in upholding the company’s commitment to operational excellence, employee well-being, environmental sustainability, and legal compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Management –Responsible for establishing and maintaining quality management systems to ensure that products and services meet or exceed customer expectations. Develop quality control procedures, conduct audits, and implement corrective actions to enhance quality standards throughout the company. Maintain Document and Record Management for Company’s HQ including Policies and Manual for the group.
- Health & Safety –Responsible for implementing and monitoring occupational health and safety policies and practices. Conduct HSE risk assessments, develop safety protocols, provide training to employees, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations to create a safe working environment for all employees.
- Incident Management –In case of accidents, incidents, or near misses, the QHSSE department plays a crucial role in investigating and managing these events. Conduct root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and establish preventive measures to avoid recurrence and improve overall safety performance.
- Continuous Improvement– Fosters a culture of continuous improvement by monitoring performance indicators, analysing data, and implementing best practices. Identify areas for improvement, develop action plans, and collaborate with different departments to enhance quality, health, safety, security, and environmental performance across the organization.
- Compliance & Regulatory Affairs– Responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, Malaysia Act, Law and Standards). Monitor changes in regulations, advise management on compliance matters, and implement necessary actions to align the company’s practices with legal requirements.
- Training & Awareness –Provides training and awareness programs to employees regarding quality, health, safety, security, and environmental matters. Conduct workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns to promote a culture of safety, quality consciousness, and environmental responsibility within the organization.
- Security –Oversees security measures to protect the company’s assets, employees, and information. Implement security policies, assess potential security risks, develop emergency response plans, and collaborate with relevant authorities to mitigate security threats and incidents.
- Environmental Management –Responsible managing and minimizing the environmental impact of the Company’s operations. Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures, conduct environmental assessments, monitor compliance with environmental regulations, and promote sustainable practices to reduce the Companies carbon footprint and enhance environmental stewardship.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety). A master’s degree is desirable.
- Extensive experience in QHSEE leadership roles
- In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations, standards and best practices.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing QHSSE programs.
- Highly meticulous with critical thinking skills and resourceful in problem solving.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
