Head, Portfolio Managers and Marketing Representatives

We are seeking a highly motivated, self-disciplined department head with a proven track record to drive the portfolio management and marketing representative division at our multinational company. In this position, you will be assigned a team of portfolio managers (PM) and marketing representatives (MR) to drive business inflow in line with the company’s direction and objectives.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met and all PMs and MRs adhere to guidelines and fulfill the practices. Additionally, you will be tasked with developing new PMs and MRs, maintaining existing ones, and guiding them to meet company expectations.

Head, Portfolio Managers and Marketing Representatives duties and responsibilities:

1. To develop and expand recruitment for the sales and marketing channels, including Portfolio Managers, Marketing Representatives and Unit Trust agency departments by:

- Recruiting qualified Portfolio Managers with relevant fund management experience and capabilities in sales and marketing of investment mandates and products.

- Identify and recruit fresh and experienced Marketing Representatives, Unit Trust Consultants, and any new division assigned by the superior for sales and marketing of investment mandates, Unit Trust products, and any other products/services within the group from any business channel assigned by the superior.

- Providing advice and guidance on Securities Commission, Phillip Capital Management, Phillip Mutual and Statutory Body guidelines and policies trust products to Portfolio Managers/ Marketing Representatives and Unit Trust Consultants.

- Ensuring that Portfolio Managers/ Marketing Representatives and Unit Trust Consultant follow the relevant guidelines and policies.

- Ensuring that Portfolio Managers/ Marketing Representatives and Unit Trust Consultant attend the relevant trainings for CPE/ CPD and compulsory trainings.

2. In charge of monitoring the recruitment progress of Portfolio Managers/ Marketing Representatives and Unit Trust Consultants and any sales/ marketing/ recruitment channel assigned by the superior for all Phillip Investor Centers (PIC);

3. To assist the Corporate Institution Business team in their marketing efforts and client servicing when required;

4. To act as the backup fund manager for money market placements;

Requirement:

1. Possess Degree in Marketing or any related degrees;
2. Minimum 5 years working experience at managerial level (Preferrable Marketing background in the Unit Trust/Fund Management industry);
3. Able to work in challenging & fast paced environment;
4. Strong prioritizing skills, ability to multi-task and result driven;
5. Excellent verbal & written English;
6. Must have strong leadership, charismatic and pleasant personality;
7. Applicants should be Malaysian citizens or hold relevant residence status.
8. Proactive and self-motivated attitude, professionalism with high level of integrity and sense of accountability;
9. Candidates with experience in financial or capital market industry will be added advantage;
