Key Responsibilities

As the HSE Business Partner, Transportation, you will be instrumental in shaping and elevating health, safety, and environmental standards across Maersk’s transportation operations in South East Asia. This role primarily focuses on third-party logistics fleets across all modes of transportation, with a strong emphasis on trucking, alongside air, rail, and barge operations.

You will develop and implement the regional HSE framework in alignment with Maersk’s global policies and local regulations. As an individual contributor, you’ll translate global strategies into actionable plans tailored for the South East Asia region.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure full compliance with Maersk’s global HSE standards and local regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Operations Managers on incident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Partner with Procurement and Vendor Management teams to ensure third-party compliance.
  • Support Sales and Commercial teams in driving HSE compliance across products to secure tenders.
  • Identify transportation hazards and implement effective control measures.
  • Conduct safety assessments, audits, and inspections for continuous improvement.
  • Utilize compliance tools to generate insights and drive performance.
  • Lead HSE Committee meetings to align initiatives across teams.

Risk Management & Emergency Preparedness

  • Lead risk assessments and integrate findings into incident response and business continuity plans.
  • Support accident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented and shared.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response and contingency plans.

We’re looking for

  • 5–8 years of HSE experience in the supply chain industry
  • Strong collaboration skills across South East Asia; regional experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex environments with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong influencing skills to drive alignment and achieve business objectives.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work in ambiguous and dynamic settings.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a collaborative approach.
