What will you do?

The Indirect Distribution Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing strategic initiatives to optimize L'Oréal's market presence and sales performance across its indirect distribution networks. This includes fostering strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and independent retail partners, achieving ambitious sales targets, and ensuring the seamless execution of commercial and marketing strategies within these channels.Under the supervision of the Channel Lead, build the joint business plan with the account(s). Contribute to the commercial vision by sharing account perspective, risks and opportunities.

Responsibilities:-

  • Channel Strategy and Development:
    • Formulate and execute sales strategies to achieve significant business growth and surpass sales targets through indirect channels.
    • Proactively identify and cultivate new sales opportunities within diverse distribution channels by analyzing market trends and identifying potential partners.
    • Develop compelling value propositions for distributors to ensure L'Oréal maintains a competitive edge and strong partner engagement.
    • Translate the overarching Route-to-Market (RTM) strategy and marketing plans into actionable sales goals and objectives for distributor teams.
  • Partner Relationship Management:
    • Cultivate and maintain robust, mutually beneficial relationships with distributor owners, key stakeholders, and retail partners.
    • Serve as the primary liaison between L'Oréal and its distributors, ensuring efficient and effective commercial operations.
    • Negotiate contracts and ensure distributors are fully aligned with L'Oréal's annual business plans, with a focus on financial capacity and performance.
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
    • Diligently monitor and analyze sales metrics, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify areas for improvement and optimize channel performance.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews with distributors, providing constructive feedback and implementing solutions to foster continuous growth.
    • Ensure distributors are adequately resourced with financial backing, qualified staff, necessary infrastructure, and appropriate tools.
    • Provide robust and timely reports and dashboards to the sales team, highlighting key sales KPIs such as distribution, focus products, and new launches.
  • Marketing and Commercial Execution:
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, supply chain, and finance, to align strategies and maximize sales opportunities.
    • Ensure the effective promotion and merchandising of L'Oréal products within the distributor networks.
    • Assist in the planning and execution of promotional events and campaigns specifically designed to boost sales through indirect channels.
  • Training and Support:
    • Provide comprehensive guidance, training, and support to distributor sales teams on product knowledge and effective selling techniques.
    • Implement loyalty programs and offer regular training to enhance partners' skills and capabilities.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Ensure all interactions and activities with distributors are accurately logged and updated in relevant internal systems.
    • Facilitate product registration processes and liaise with regulatory teams for new market entries where distributors are involved.
Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field is typically required.
  • Proven track record in sales, channel management, or business development, with a preference for experience within the consumer goods or beauty industry.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret complex sales data and market trends.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Results-driven mindset with a clear focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Proficiency in relevant CRM and sales analysis tools.
