Japanese/English Interpreter & Translator

We are looking for experienced (mid-level career) interpreters/translators with strong Japanese and English language skills.

Must-haves

  • Proficiency in English is required; native-level fluency is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Japanese is required; native-level fluency is a plus (JLPT N1 or equivalent).
  • Professional experience in interpretation and/or translation is required. Experience in any field is acceptable, though preference will be given to candidates with backgrounds in animation, gaming, VFX, or related industries.
  • Qualified candidates will have experience doing consecutive interpreting (while experience doing simultaneous interpreting is also sought). We can provide training for simultaneous interpreting.
  • Candidates must have a suitable work-from-home environment.


Plus points:

- Mandarin proficiency.

- Experience with simultaneous interpretation.

- Experience at animation game//VFX studios.

- Personal interest in Japanese animé or other animation, games, or VFX.
