About The Role

We are looking for a Junior IT Support Specialist to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. This role is a little different, as you would be supporting our team in US time zone, meaning that you would work mainly in night shifts. We are offering a role which is done 95% remotely and a nice opportunity for someone who enjoys and prefers to work during nighttime and wants to grow in their career in a global company.

As our Junior IT Support Specialist, you would join our experienced team of IT professionals, that provides IT services globally for all F-Secure employees. Together with our 3rd party IT partner, we support all F-Secure fellows across different platforms and devices. In this role, you will learn how to support and resolve various IT issues, and how to work in corporate cloud environments (like Entra) and use various other tools. .

At F-Secure we want to be efficient and transparent in our recruiting. Our hiring process will consists of 2 to 3 interview rounds: introduction interview team interview and a possible final interview. Our aim is to move quickly through the steps, and inform each candidate on a timely manner whether they will proceed in the process.

Key Responsibilities

• Offering employee Support Services and troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues for our employees in US
• Device and lifecycle management
• Purchasing and related processes, vendor and warranty coordination
• Onboarding & Offboarding Support – Setting up access for new employees and ensuring proper decommissioning during offboarding
• Supporting security best practices
• Creating and maintaining internal IT documentation and FAQs for employees.

What are we looking for?

• A degree from a relevant field (for example Information Technology or similar)
• Basic understanding of Windows operating system and MacOS
• Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) as our organization language is English
• Understanding of basics of cyber security principles
• You have courage to take initiative and a have proactive way of working, with effective communication & problem-solving skills
