Learning & Development Manager

About the role

As the Learning & Development Manager at THE MILLEN PENANG - AUTOGRAPH COLLECTION HOTELS under HNG HOTELS SDN BHD, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive training programs to upskill and empower our employees. Based in George Town, Penang, this full-time role will be a key part of our Human Resources & Recruitment team, focusing on the Training & Development function.

What you'll be doing

• Assess training needs across the hotel and design customised learning solutions to address skill gaps
• Develop and deliver engaging, interactive training programs on a range of topics including leadership, technical skills, and professional development
• Manage the training budget and resources to ensure the efficient and effective implementation of all learning initiatives
• Collaborate with business leaders to align training priorities with hotel goals and objectives
• Measure the impact and effectiveness of training programs and make data-driven improvements
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in the training and development field
• Coach and mentor employees to support their continuous learning and career growth
• Organize events to boost the employee engagement and morale
• Creating healthy culture and positive work habits.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a learning and development role, preferably in the training and development industry. Hotel background would be additional benefit.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and the ability to design and deliver impactful training programs
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills to engage employees at all levels
• Proficient in needs analysis, programme design, and evaluation to measure the impact of training initiatives
• Hands-on experience with training management tools and technologies
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to work cross-functionally with various stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organisational Development, or a related field
