Logistics Operations Coordinator

• Shipment Coordination: Supervise the entire shipment process, including booking, documentation, and tracking of shipments.
• Communication: Regularly communicate with clients, carriers, and overseas agents to ensure timely and accurate information flow.
• Documentation: Prepare and manage all necessary shipping documents, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs declarations.
• Compliance: Ensure all shipments comply with local and international regulations, including customs and import/export laws.
• Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues or delays that arise during the shipment process.
• Data Entry: Accurately input shipment details into TMS.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to meet client expectations and service levels.
• Reporting: Generate and analyze reports on shipment status, performance metrics, and discrepancies.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in logistics software and a solid understanding of freight forwarding processes are crucial.

• Operational Knowledge: Hands-on experience with shipment coordination, documentation, and compliance with local and international regulations.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using TMS and other logistics software.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills for interacting with clients, carriers, and internal teams.
• Problem-Solving: Experience in addressing and resolving shipment issues and delays.
• High School or Diploma: Preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Relevant Certifications: Certifications in logistics or supply chain management, transportation, and distribution can be advantageous.
• Industry Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management.
