Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Senior Manager in managing structural design tasks and ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Lead the structural team in developing business proposals, preparing technical write-ups, and participating in tender submissions, ensuring quality and innovation.
- Manage and coordinate project design consultants to produce innovative, optimized designs that meet project requirements and comply with statutory regulations.
- Review structural drawings throughout all stages of project delivery to ensure safety, constructability, and the application of cost-effective, innovative solutions.
- Ensure proper coordination between disciplines and departments, providing technical support as needed.
- Mentor and supervise a team of engineers, fostering their professional growth and expanding their technical capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a higher qualification; a Professional Engineer qualification is preferred.
- 10 to 15 years of post-graduate experience in design and construction management, with a strong focus on structural engineering.
- Proven experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, including bridges/viaducts, underground structures, hydropower plants, and complex infrastructure.
- Structural design expertise in rail and metro line projects, particularly in the design of stations and ancillary buildings, is an advantage.
- Strong technical proficiency in structural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, BIM) and a deep understanding of relevant codes and standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative solutions in structural design.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and collaborate effectively across departments.
