Job Description

Manufacturing/Assembly Plant Maintenance Engineers play a vital role in guaranteeing the optimal operation and peak efficiency of industrial facilities and equipment. They oversee maintenance activities, tackle issues as they arise, and implement proactive strategies to minimize downtime and boost overall productivity. As a Plant Maintenance Engineer, you will play a pivotal part in upholding the seamless and efficient operation of our company's manufacturing plants and assembly lines facilities. Your primary duties will encompass routine maintenance and repairs aimed at preserving our equipment and machinery in their best possible state. Your specialized skills and meticulous approach will be instrumental in minimizing equipment failures and downtime, increasing productivity and upholding the safety of our workforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Plant Maintenance Engineer or a similar role in a manufacturing or industrial setting with minimum of 2 years.
• Proficiency in mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems equipment repairs.
• Certification in maintenance-related areas such as CMRP (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional) is preferred.
• Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and computer-aided design (CAD) software or similar.
• Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and standards related to plant maintenance, such as ISO 9001
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
  
  
  

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on plant equipment and machinery to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
• Perform repairs and troubleshoot, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems to resolve breakdowns and malfunctions promptly.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to maximize equipment reliability and minimize unplanned downtime.
• Collaborate with the production team to plan maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, repair logs, and equipment history records.
• Assist Sr. Engineer to conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in plant maintenance to enhance efficiency and optimize equipment performance.
• Coordinate with external service providers and contractors for specialized repairs or maintenance task.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during maintenance activities, including lockout/tag out procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
• Train and mentor junior maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in plant maintenance.

Required Skills

• Competency in using various tools and equipment for troubleshooting and repair.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance principles and practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team and to adapt quickly to in response to changing circumstances and environment.
• Strong knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and practice.
