KEY DETAILS OF THE ROLE

We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Merchandiser to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring our products are displayed in an appealing and organized manner across retail locations. You will play a key role in driving sales and enhancing the shopping experience by implementing effective merchandising strategies.

Type of Role: FULL TIME, WORK FROM OFFICE / WORK FROM SITE
Location: JOHOR BAHRU and SINGAPORE


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Product Display:
    • Plan and execute product displays that align with company guidelines and brand standards.
    • Arrange products in a visually appealing manner to maximize sales opportunities.
    • Ensure all displays are regularly updated to reflect seasonal trends, promotions, and new product launches.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Monitor stock levels and work closely with the inventory team to ensure product availability.
    • Rotate stock and manage product placement to reduce waste and maintain freshness (for perishable goods).
  • Store Visits:
    • Conduct regular visits to retail locations to inspect displays and ensure compliance with merchandising standards.
    • Collaborate with store staff to improve product placement and resolve any display-related issues.
  • Market Research:
    • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to suggest innovative merchandising strategies.
    • Stay updated on industry developments to ensure the company remains competitive.
  • Sales Support:
    • Assist in setting up promotional displays and in-store events.
    • Provide feedback to the sales team on product performance and customer preferences.
  • Reporting:
    • Prepare and submit regular reports on merchandising activities, sales performance, and inventory status.
    • Track and analyze the effectiveness of merchandising efforts and suggest improvements.
    • Any other duties as determined by the Chief Sales Officer


REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma in business administration, marketing or a related field
  • Ability to lift and move products and displays
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during store visits
  • Previous experience in merchandising, retail, or a related field is preferred
  • Strong understanding of retail trends and consumer behaviour
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
