Key Responsibilities
- To be able to develop and validate the test methods and techniques.
- To perform routine microbiology and nucleic acid analysis.
- To generate, analyse, and interpret microbiological data and reports into LIMS.
- To ensure timeliness and accuracy to meet turnaround time and that the daily test result is produced accurately and precisely.
- Ensure compliance to testing and QA/QC procedures.
- Effective implementation and maintenance of MS ISO/IEC 17025.
- Ensure all analytical equipment, apparatus etc are to be appropriately maintained and calibrated as per the required schedule.
- Maintain housekeeping, GLP and follow safety procedures in the lab.
- Any other related ad-hoc assignment as assigned by the Management.
- Education: Bachelor’s in Microbiology, or related discipline.
- Certification: Preferably a Certified Microbiologist (registered under MJMM)
- Experience: 1-2 years in in the related field is required for this position.
- Must be honest, co-operative, able to communicate effectively with good human relation skill, team player, independent.
- Must demonstrate quality in his/her work i.e. accurate, thorough and effective.
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Multi-tasking and positive working attitude.
- Must have the initiative and ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
