Your role will encompass guiding students on their musical journey, instilling mastery of instruments while upholding precise tempo and rhythm. Beyond instrumental proficiency, you'll impart a range of music styles encompassing genres like rock, reggae, and country, cultivating well-rounded musicians.

Your Mission:

As the Music Teacher, you'll go beyond teaching; you'll be instrumental in identifying and fostering each student's potential. Crafting well-structured lesson plans in accordance with educational guidelines and curating essential instructional materials will be a key part of your role. You'll also prepare our students for an array of performances, from plays and concerts to gigs and other school events.

Collaboration will be your forte, as you work closely with fellow faculty members to organize events and uphold a harmonious work environment. Who are we looking for individuals with:

• Passion for your subject and for supporting children of all abilities to progress
• A relevant degree and postgraduate qualification in the field of Music.
• An understanding of the developmental needs of students of different age groups.
• Have strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure
• Be committed to the professional development process
• Be an innovator in terms of the way Music is delivered in the classroom
• Be a creative thinker; always looking for new and better ways to do things
• Have a sense of humour and camaraderie to work effectively with all stakeholders
• A professional who will quickly pick up the culture of this day and boarding and provide inspirational direction and guidance in their specialist field of Music
• Minimum of 1-2 years of teaching experience.

What will you need to do

• Deliver comprehensive music instruction aligned with curriculum, collaborating for consistent practices, creating engaging lesson plans, and fostering an interactive learning environment.
• Supervise extracurricular activities, and actively participate in school events.
• Establish behavior standards, maintain a positive classroom, enforce school procedures, and promote positive practices.
• Oversee equipment and facility care.
• Prepare materials for substitutes, and provide cover work, and relief as needed.
• Engage in staff development, attend seminars, and participate in student and parent activities.
• Assist throughout the school day, attend meetings punctually, show initiative, and maintain regular attendance.
