Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facility Operations Manager to oversee the smooth and efficient functioning of a prominent shopping mall. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team, manage a diverse range of operational tasks, and contribute to enhancing the environmental performance of the mall. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing operational policies, and managing external contractor.

What You'll Do

As a Facility Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the high standards of one of Seremban's most prominent shopping malls. Your excellent problem-solving skills will be put to use as you oversee the maintenance teams, ensuring all M&E systems are functioning optimally. You will also have the opportunity to showcase your leadership skills as you supervise staff, conduct performance reviews, provide training, and foster a collaborative work environment. Your commitment to safety will be evident as you ensure compliance with safety regulations through regular inspections, risk assessments, implementing safety protocols, and emergency response plans.

  • Oversee maintenance and security of the shopping malls
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures
  • Coordinate with various departments to meet the malls’ operational needs
  • Lead the maintenance teams to ensure all M&E systems are functioning optimally
  • Schedule and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities
  • Manage and coordinate with external contractors and service providers
  • Identify and implement initiatives to enhance the mall’s environmental performance
  • Supervise and mentor staff, conduct performance reviews, provide training, and foster a collaborative work environment
  • Develop and manage the operations and maintenance budget while monitoring expenses to ensure cost-effective practices
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations by conducting regular inspections, risk assessments, implementing safety protocols and emergency response plans

Your strong leadership skills will be invaluable in managing our dedicated team, while your excellent problem-solving abilities will help ensure smooth operations across all aspects of our facility. Your strong communication skills will enable effective coordination between various departments, while your ability to handle pressure will be crucial in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/Chargeman or a related field
  • At least 4 years of experience in a senior operations or maintenance role within a shopping mall or commercial property
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
