Job Description
Material Planner - to ensures timely and sufficient availability of materials to meet production schedules by managing inventory, forecasting demand, ordering materials, and coordinating with suppliers. Key responsibilities include analyzing material requirements, controlling stock levels, resolving supply chain issues, maintaining system data, and collaborating with production and procurement teams. Essential skills for this role are strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, communication, problem-solving, and proficiency with ERP/MRP and data analysis software.
Responsibilities
Schedule the supply of materials/components to meet production requirements and minimum safety stock levels
Plan, develop, implement and evaluate processes for material delivery from supplier to point of fit
Assess volume requirements against planning assumptions
Day-to-day order management and management of deliveries
Understand and manage risks to minimize impact on production schedule
Take follow up actions in relation to material shortages that affect production
Implement all processes to agreed standards and targets and support continuous improvement initiatives and identify areas of improvement
Utilize any Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) or IT system that is in place and ensure that data is accurate and up to date and resolve
any issues as required
Monitor the integrity of Bill of Materials (BOM) and manage inventory accuracy
Monitor inventory levels against agreed target levels

Qualifications
- Degree in business, logistics, inventory management, or a related field preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in material planning, inventory management, purchasing, or Manufacturing Environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and material management
