About The Role

We are seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the development, optimization, and support of molding processes for semiconductor packaging. This role is responsible for ensuring robust manufacturability, high reliability, and process excellence from development through mass production.

What You Will Do

• Develop, characterize, and optimize molding process technologies for new products and platforms.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on molding-related topics within project teams.
• Ensure effective technical communication and information flow across cross-functional and cross-site teams.
• Support process and equipment selection for molding solutions in new product development.
• Identify process integration risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure stable manufacturing.
• Drive process improvements to enhance yield, quality, and reliability.
• Provide technical support for molding processes to both internal and external customers.
• Conduct technology studies and competitor benchmarking to support package roadmap planning.
• Apply structured problem-solving methodologies to address process challenges
  
  
  

What You Will Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in semiconductor manufacturing, with strong focus on mold process.
• Solid knowledge of backend assembly mold process.
• Familiar with Six Sigma methodologies, FMEA, DOE, SPC, and statistical analysis.
• Experience with wire-bonded and/or clip-bonded packages is an advantage.
• Proficient in problem-solving and quality tools such as DOE, SPC, FMEA, 8D, and Statistical analysis tools.
• Strong communication skills with good command of English.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
