Production Manager I

Position Summary

This individual will lead and manage the overall production team including process engineering.

Oversee and manage manpower, machinery, materials, and other resources for the Production team to ensure that safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery targets are consistently met.

Lead PE team to maintain consistency across all production processes. Drive the development, evaluation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing methods to optimize quality, productivity, and cost efficiency while ensuring safety first process approach.

Responsibilities

PRODUCTION & PROCESS ENGINEER

• Responsible for the overall manufacturing process: leading CDA Thermal and EMI production team to ensure smooth production and delivery to meet all customer demand.
• Aligning with Planner and production team, organize and prioritize production schedule, effectively meet customer demand requirements, ensure on time delivery of goods with high quality. Ensure good inventory control.
• To meet manufacturing target cost, control the consumption in the production line like tools and consumable accessories.
• Operationalize HPT to meet and exceed SQDCE goals of whole production team.
• WIP and scrap reduction and productivity increase.
• Work with subcontractors to obtain jig, fixture design, and fabrication.
• Ensure all staff are properly trained to company standards and are competent to perform their duties meeting both quality and time requirements.
• Implement multi-skill operators’ strategy to optimize workforce flexibility and efficiency.
• To optimize the current shop floor layout and extend the manufacturing capacity.
• Ensure the team disipline and compliance to company rules especially safety related.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement programs such as Value Stream Mapping, LPA, 5S, and Safety Audits to identify and eliminate or minimize waste and hazards
• Lead, support, and drive Lean implementation and continuous improvement of the overall site through lean initiatives and tools, Kaizen activities.
• Lead the Process Engineering (PE) team in developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing process methods
• Conduct process cost analysis and price estimation
• Manage sample and prototype processes, providing support to both internal and external customers for product applications.
• Ensure flawless launch of new products and new production capability set up.
• Meet and exceed IATF16949 & ISO14001 KPIs (production and process related)
• Champion Parker culture and values: i.e. HPT, 7 virtues. Continue to improve team engagement and empowerment.
• Demonstrate strong leadership by motivating, guiding, and developing the production team to achieve operational excellence.
• Develop and enhance a talent pipeline by identifying and nurturing potential leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• Good understanding of quality engineering and process improvement methodology.
• At least 10 years of experience in mass production industry.
• Must possess strong leadership and at least 5 years of leadership experience in leading a team.
• Past experiences working with US or European Company is preferred
• Ability to multitask and effectively handle various challenges in a dynamic work environment.
• Strong Business skills.
