Position: Project QS

Job Description

• To calculate the cost of construction for the project based on drawings and documents, and prepare the contract.
• To forecast the cost of different materials needed for the project.
• Prepare for a tender document including measurement and Bill of Quantities.
• Attend client consultants/site meetings.
• Handle progress claims, site valuation, variation, and final account.
• Coordinate with consultants/contractors.
• To assist in the everyday project site operations.
• To carry out any other duties may be assigned by management from time to time.

Job Requirement

Education & Certifications (where applicable)

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification.

Experience, Knowledge & Skills

• At least 2 years of working experience in a related field, preferably with experience working with a main contractor.
• Meticulous and having a keen eye for details and accuracy
• Good working attitude, able to multi-task, meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Organized and able to prioritize and manage time well
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be familiar with estimates, project cost control, and preparation of Bill of Quantities and Project Claims.
• Preferably to be computer literate and familiar with MS Office and MS Excel applications
