Job Responsibility
- Assist in planning and efficient management of purchasing activities in alignment with company policies.
- Responsible for sourcing, request quotations and price negotiation with suppliers for direct and in direct materials (e.g., biomass, chemical, hardware, spare parts and consumable and etc).
- Establish, monitor, and maintain a list of reliable suppliers, both locally and overseas.
- Coordinate with the inventory control team to determine procurement needs and ensure sufficient stock levels for operations.
- Assist in constant monitoring and management of JXM procurement systems and policies to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Maintain proper documentation for all purchasing transactions and procedures.
- Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, including supplier performance and procurement costs.
- Ensure all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Assist in performing periodic cost analysis and contribute to the improvement of procurement best practices.
- Support the half-yearly vendor performance program and contribute to maintaining vendor relationships.
- Act as a key contact for any system implementations related to purchasing (e.g. ERP system).
- Assist in any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by superior or management.
- Bachelor's Degree/ Diploma in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a procurement or purchasing role, preferably in a manufacturing environment will be an added advantage
- Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
- Able to communicate in Mandarin.
- Strong sense of integrity and responsibility and result oriented.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
