Purchasing Executive

Summary: Manage and execute operational purchasing tasks for Indirect Materials (IM). Ensure efficiency, compliance, and value across the supply chain in support of the company’s business targets.

This role will be based in Shah Alam, Selangor and reporting to Associate Manager – Purchasing.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with internal departments to identify purchasing needs and plan IM requirements.
• Source, assess, and approve suppliers in designated IM categories, including supplier audits when necessary.
• Negotiate and secure the best possible purchasing agreements, following the Tactical Purchasing Process and using established contract formats.
• Implement and manage regional and global supplier agreements to ensure consistency and cost-efficiency.
• Place and follow up on purchase orders via IFS Matrix, ensuring alignment with contracts and company policies.
• Apply category management strategies to drive cost savings and process improvements.
• Coordinate intercompany finished goods trading activities for the Sales team.
• Manage shipping document, import duties and SST exemptions for both air and sea freight shipments.
• Participate in supplier site visits and internal audits with cross-functional teams.
• Periodically track and provide reports to the Purchasing Manager.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in Purchasing.
• Possess a Bachelor Degree or Diploma in related field.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PPT).
