Key Responsibilities :
- Project Management & Innovation
- Lead and manage R&D projects, ensuring timely delivery of new or improved products that meet defined specifications.
- Drive product innovation through research, formulation, and process improvements.
- Product Development & Commercialization
- Collaborate with Marketing and customers from concept development through to product launch.
- Ensure smooth handover and support during scale-up and commercialization phases.
- Laboratory Analysis & Troubleshooting
- Conduct lab work and analytical testing to evaluate prototypes and production samples.
- Troubleshoot issues related to product formulation, process efficiency, or quality concerns.
- Prototype Development & Production Trials
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop kitchen samples and support pilot or plant trials.
- Monitor trial runs, collect and analyze data, and provide technical recommendations.
- Data Analysis & Technical Recommendations
- Interpret test data to support decision-making and product optimization.
- Present clear, data-driven recommendations to internal stakeholders.
- Raw Material Sourcing & Development
- Identify and evaluate alternative raw materials for cost-saving or supply assurance purposes.
- Work closely with Procurement and Quality Assurance for supplier qualification.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive records of all R&D activities and project documentation.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and ensure compliance with internal SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
- Independent Task Management
- Perform assigned tasks independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative, ownership, and accountability.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Culinary or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in product development or R&D in the food industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on experience in laboratory testing, formulation, and product trials
- Excellent communication and technical writing abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant analytical tools
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
