Objectives of the Position


    • Manage, supervise, and support the implementation of HR projects or initiatives with the regional service delivery unit, the local country platform team, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure timely and accurately delivery to the BASF group companies in Asia Pacific or Project Sponsor in accordance with the service framework as well as global, regional, and local country processes and guidelines while achieving a high customer satisfaction
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders on HR projects such as service scope expansion, review on service level agreements, service quality enhancement initiatives, managing project work of scope and resolving of issues and the development of solutions
    • Coordinating and implementing process updates and changes which impacts all countries within regional service delivery unit (for eg: bonus provision updates, standardization of organization management process regionally)


Main Areas of Responsibilities


Operational Excellence

    • Coordinate and implement updates in HR Systems, Pay & People Data, including any policies and processes which spans out across countries Asia Pacific through the Compensation & Benefits and Payroll Services service delivery teams
    • Ensure People Data requests which impacts multiple countries in Asia Pacific is coordinated amongst the C&B and Payroll Services service delivery unit
    • Plays the role of the main protect of contact for major re-organizations which impacts Asia Pacific and with the support of the Payroll & People Data teams ensure requests are accurately maintained
    • Undertake assigned projects in the area of HR Systems and Payroll & People Data processes, monitor project performance, and take corrective actions if necessary
    • Steer, track and monitor execution of project activities like analysis, testing, go-live etc.
    • Ensure that project queries are resolved in a timely, responsible, and pro-active manner
    • Support team members in resolving project issues related to implementation solutions including communication with project sponsors, and other project members
    • Ability to manage complex issues and risks that are identified during the project and provide solutions accordingly
    • Ensure successful implementation across the team and in the involved companies


Service Engagement

    • Ensure services delivered are in accordance with established Service Level Agreements
    • Build and maintain effective stakeholder management to promote collaboration for achievements and service excellence experience
    • Collaborates with the Senior Manager and Directors of the service delivery unit to actively provides updates to the Regional HR Community on any activities with regards to HR Systems, Payroll and People Data


Compliance and Quality Management

    • Ensure that all project activities or initiatives are following relevant policies, processes and procedures to achieve excellent and consistent quality of work results, avoid compliance issues and allow for traceability of actions
    • Need to uphold strictest confidentiality of sensitive information based on the nature of the projects (e.g., acquisitions, divestiture, service transitions, new services)
    • Maintain and improve the knowledge database of projects or initiatives implemented by ensuring proper recording and retention of documentations


Reporting

    • Manage an effective reporting approach to enable monitoring of the performance of the projects and provide analysis and updates on information (where required) to relevant stakeholders


Leadership

    • Proactive in creating an environment that is conducive to ideas and utilizes learning from experience to develop initiatives
    • Set challenging goals and monitor the performance of the goals defined
    • Encourage open communication to ensure positive morale and establishment of a learning culture


Requirements


Education

    • Tertiary education


Working Experience

    • Experience and familiar working with a world-class HR system (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft)
    • With good analytical skills & project implementation experience


Technical & Professional Knowledge

    • Good general Human Resources skills and knowledge in similar function
    • Excellent communication and people management/ development skills
    • Some knowledge of Human Resources and Employment Laws in the Asia Pacific region
    • Functional knowledge and skills in using Microsoft applications, i.e., Words, Excel, PowerPoint.
    • Fluent in speaking and written English. Knowledge of any other Asian languages is advantageous
