Relocation Consultant

Key responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  1. To perform surveys at clients’ homes. To attend to customers’ moving needs and requirements, which may include local moves, sea and air shipments, pet relocations, car and motorcycle, storage and transit protection.
  2. To attend survey appointments well prepared and researched (CDS, Country Data Sheet) on destination customs requirements and corporate policies and requirements.
  3. To confirm survey appointment date and time with client a day before survey. Be punctual always for surveys.
  4. Use of SurveyPro to complete a detailed inventory of effects to be transported which allows the accurate calculation of volume of the goods.
  5. Present the company’s services by way of iPad, brochures, discussion, sailing schedules, complimentary cards/MSQS, demonstrations and the use of the presenter in the most positive light, selling the benefits of our service, our company, and the Crown network worldwide.
  6. To complete survey sheet as accurately as possible. Accuracy needs to be +- 5% on survey volumes compared with actual packed.
  7. To complete Interact Service Files with the survey details and customer commitments accurately documented in accordance with the Move Management procedures.
  8. To work out JC for each Service File and review margins with Sales Manager. If required, send our destination office for special destination rate. Once JC is approved, proposal to client/corporate is prepared and sent via OMH. Quote should be done within 48 hours of survey.
  9. To raise Support Request in Interact for all international moves.
  10. To follow-up and negotiate with client to book the job with the highest possible gross margins and least amount of FOC services given away.
  11. All follow-up calls to client or corporate must be documented in Inteact under Sales Follow-up.
  12. Once a job is confirmed, Interact/MATS needs to be updated and a Booking Form prepared together with all required documentations complete for Move Manager.
  13. Handover call with client to thank them for the business, to confirm pack dates, transit protection, sailing dates/schedule, client’s arrival at destination and the expected delivery date. To introduce the designated Move Manager as client’s single point of contact from the office and that the Move Manager will be calling client to establish contact and take over the client’s file from here on.
  14. All Booked jobs need to be handed over to the Move Manager with 48 hours of the confirmation of the move. The Booking Form, Purchase Order/Order Confirmation, Relocation Order Form and any other relevant documents must be handed over to the Move Manager at the point of handover briefing with the Move Manager.
  15. Sales Activity Report (SAR) is due every Friday by 5 p.m. This is mandatory.
  16. All Lost or Cancelled jobs must be reviewed by Sales Manager or Division Manager.
  17. Handling designated corporate accounts together with CSM. This will enable you to understand better the corporate requirements and at the same time build a good working relationship with the corporate.
  18. You will be required to attend networking activities by the various business chambers or women associations after working hours. We hope that from our presence at these networking nights/activities we will be able to generate more enquiries. At the same time, we are making Crown’s presence felt at these various activities.
  19. Teamwork is very important, especially between Move Managers, Operations and Traffic. You would need to be a strong team player and committed to task to achieve targets set by company.
  20. Any other duties which may be assigned to you from time to time.
