Our Sales Department in Petaling Jaya is looking for a strong leader in Retail Operation Management to oversee our retail business as:
RETAIL OPERATION MANAGER MALAYSIA
This role shall be responsible to drive and grow Triumph International business in Malaysia through retail operation management.
Your Responsibilities:
Meeting Sales Objectives
- Set monthly counter targets (subject to superior’s approval) and provide inputs of projected sales turnover on any promotions/fairs to achieve individual sales targets and overall company’s sales objectives.
- Drive sales to achieve company’s sales and profitability targets.
Landlord/Customer Relationship Building
- Play a key role in representing the Company to the landlords by building rapport and maintaining goodwill with them.
- Negotiate favourable rental and space with various landlords to ensure brand is well represented with maximum profitability.
- Prepare and discuss proposals for opening or renewal of new POS with commercial Director, for approval by RPB/Regional Office.
- Accountable for planning and executing renewal of contracts/agreements for individual boutiques.
- Work closely with CRM in providing customer data for targetted promotional programs.
Inventory Management
- Manage and maintain a reasonable average month of stocks per boutique under her charge, correcting any overstock or understock situation at the various boutiques.
- Minimize goods returns according to acceptable percentage over sales and p
- Ensure effective management of proper product mix at the respective boutiques.
- Ensure that the Company’s products are not subject to potential possibilities of pilferage and ensure inventory shrinkages are kept to the minimal.
Boutique/Counter Management
- Ensure that the Own POS under her charge meet the standards set on
- Visual Merchandising/Display counter trans., proper display of signages, mannequins, etc.
- General Maintenance feedback to store’s maintenance department / Store & Counter Development team department on any repair work needed
- Ensure appropriate follow-up eg. submitting proposals, stocking-up, liaising with internal departments, premiums sourcing and confirmation, signages, video, price/paper tags, etc.
Supervision of Sales Advisors
- Work closely with HR to ensure the right numbers of Sales Advisors headcount, and feedback on manpower requirement to deliver store target.
- Work closely with trainer to achieve the targeted KPIs on UPT, VPT, footfall conversion and sales (in pieces).
- Coach, guide and motivate the Sales Advisors at the boutiques.
- Communicate and explain to the Sales Advisors on any promotions mechanics, price changes, etc.
- Jointly appraise with HR on the yearly performance of the Sales Advisors.
- Provide feedback to trainer on any specific training needs of the Sales Advisors.
Competitors’ Activities / Market Intelligence
- Feedback to Management on competitors’ promotional campaigns, turnover, and/or any personnel changes.
- Provide feedback on any developments at Own POS pertaining to personnel changes, store re-location or re-structuring and any other relevant matters.
Administrative Role and Submission of Various Reports
- Administration
- Reporting
- Footfall report
- Novelties Evaluation report
- Goods Returns report
- Daily sales comparisons for promotions eg. Anniversary sale, GSS, High profile season, etc.
Your ideal profile:
- 5 years of relevant Retail Operation Management experience in the Fashion/FMCG/Retail industry targeting female customers, with at least 2 years as People Manager role.
- Experience managing a multi-store environment (15+ retail stores).
- Strong background in store development, store analysis, and staff management.
- Experienced in using sales analytics & support tools such as PowerBI, SAP ERP.
- Excellent communication skill in English. Bahasa and Mandarin languages are good to have, but not mandatory.
