Sales Manager

Job Summary: This is a sales leader role – responsible to define and executing strategic sales plans, building a strong performance-driven culture, and enabling the team to deliver sustainable business growth (REV & GP), expand market presence and strengthen long-term customer partnerships. The Sales Manager will focus on acquiring new business, account management and retention under his own portfolio. He is also responsible to lead & develop a high-performing sales team that consistently achieves and exceeds company targets and growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sales Leadership
- Own and deliver overall company growth objectives by developing & executing high-performance sales strategies
- Build & manage a robust pipeline of high-value accounts, targeting strategic verticals, and trade lanes to capture new markets
- Oversee the full sales cycle from lead generation to business closure, with a focus on volume, margins, retention, expansion
Growth-oriented Sales Management
- Recruit, lead & mentor a high-performance sales team with a hunter mindset
- Inspiring & guiding sales representatives to achieve their individual targets and overall team goals
- Instill discipline & accountability ie. daily activity targets, Sales KPIs and measurable growth metrics
- Analyzing Sales Performance using data-driven Sales CRM ie. pipeline reviews, conversion ratios and performance dashboard
Client Relationship Management
- Developing & maintaining strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders
- Cross-functional collaboration with operations, procurement & customer service teams to ensure consistency in meeting customer expectations and overall service excellence
Management Reporting
- Maintain accurate & up-to-date Monthly Sales Performance Report to Country Head & HOS ie. REV & GP against Target, Pipeline (Wins & Forecast), Trade Lane & Vertical development & insights etc.
- To perform Ad-hoc duties or project assignments by Country Head & HOS
Qualifications:
- Degree in Supply Chain Management / Logistics / Business Admin or equivalent
- Hunter mindset with min 5 years of experience in leading a sales organization (Business Development, KAM)
- Well versed in Logistics/3PL industry, Air & Ocean Freight & Contract Logistics
- Customer-centric philosophy, placing high value on service execution
- Excellent communication, negotiation & presentation skills
- Exceptional Teamwork and the ability to drive success across multiple stakeholders / regions
